We highly recommend renting a car at the airport! Ubers to and from Kiawah are very expensive, and it is very difficult to order an Uber back to the airport when you are leaving. Trust us - we have almost missed flights due to this!!
For the wedding ceremony and reception, please be aware - we will be on a golf course. It is recommended that you wear wedges or chunky heels to avoid any accidents!
We recommend staying in one of the many villas or private houses on the island to get the full Kiawah experience. If you have other friends or family traveling to the wedding as well, booking houses with multiple groups is a great way to spend the long weekend in Kiawah. There are also individual rooms at the main hotel on the island, the Sanctuary, available for booking. ***For villas and rooms: We have the accommodations discount set up in our system at this time! Guests should call 1-866-763-5056 for assistance with group reservations. They will be connected to a reservations agent at that time. They should tell the agent that they need to book a villa/room for the Keisling-Wenner Wedding or use code 473 to receive 10% off nightly rates on villas, homes and the Sanctuary to your guests. All reservations that give your name will be tagged so the group rooms coordinator can print you off a list of guests that have booked with the resort at any time. For guests booking online, they can note in the comments section the wedding name & include the booking ID code, however, the reservations will not be automatically or immediately linked with the wedding group or secured at the group rate/discount at the time of booking as we have to manually link their reservation to the wedding. ***We recommend renting villas near East Beach (close to Green Dolphin Way, The Sanctuary, and Turtle Point Golf Course). It will make your commute to the shuttles walkable!
Yes, we will have shuttles to take you to and from the welcome event and wedding. We recommend you stay in the East Beach region so that you are in a walkable area to the shuttles and will not have to worry about driving, cheers!
