How do I access the reception venue on the military base?

Answer

Our reception will be held on an active military base, which requires all non-military guests to complete a security screening in advance. Please complete the short pre-enrollment at: https://dbids-global-enroll.dmdc.mil/ After enrolling, use the QR code on the "Base Access" card included in our formal invitation or use the web address below to provide us your 6-digit code. Connor, our base sponsor, will then submit your information for approval. https://forms.gle/vcwgoV8GmDbpRGsh6 All vetting must be completed by December 17th, 2025.

Answer

Guests under 18 are not required to complete pre-enrollment, but bringing a school ID to the reception venue is recommended.

Answer

Please RSVP by December 17th 2025 to ensure we have a seat saved for you at the reception.

What time should I arrive at the wedding ceremony?

Answer

Guests should arrive at 12:45PM. Mass will begin at 1:00PM.

Answer

The welcome cocktail hour will begin at 4:00PM. A complementary shuttle will begin picking up guests from the Portola Hotel & Spa at 3:30PM.

What is the easiest way to get to and from your wedding venue(s)?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will be a short drive if you stay in Downtown Monterey. For guest convenience, a shuttle service will be provided to and from the reception. The shuttle will depart from the Portola Hotel & Spa beginning at 3:30 PM and run continuously until guests have arrived at the venue. Return service will be provided from 8:00 PM to 10:15 PM. We have curated a list of recommended accommodations under the "Travel" tab on this website.

Answer

The wedding ceremony and reception will be indoors.

What is the dress code for your wedding?

Answer

The dress code is formal. Guests are encouraged to wear formal attire in the shades of blue, green, neutral and gold. We suggest a wrap or coat for mass and evening hours. Flats will be provided at the reception.

The average temperature in Monterey during January is a high of 60 and a low of 45 degrees Fahrenheit.

A carefully curated selection of hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, followed by a multi-course dinner featuring a choice of filet mignon, chicken or a vegetarian entrée.

The reception will end at 10:00PM. Guests are welcome to continue the after-party at bars in Downtown Monterey!
