Where will you hold your ceremony in the case of inclement weather?

Answer

The Moffatt-Ladd House & Garden, where we plan to hold our ceremony, is an outdoor-only venue. In the case of inclement weather, we will hold our ceremony at our reception venue, Jimmy's Jazz and Blues Club. Please check this website the weekend of the wedding in case of venue relocation due to weather.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Get fancy with us! Please dress in formal attire. Please note that the ceremony is planned to take place on grass, so plan your outerwear and footwear accordingly.

Is there parking available?

Answer

There is no dedicated parking at the venues, but there is ample parking available downtown. The Portwalk Garage is located at 195 Hanover St, Portsmouth, NH and is less than a 5 minute walk from both the ceremony and reception venues.

How should we get to and from the wedding?

Answer

If you are staying at a hotel in downtown Portsmouth, both the ceremony and reception venues are conveniently walkable. Rideshare services such as Lyft and Uber are also available and reliable in the area.

Will there be transportation from the ceremony to the reception?

Answer

The ceremony location is 0.3 miles away from the reception venue, around a 7 minute walk. Please reach out to us if you are not comfortable walking that distance and require transportation.

What should I do between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

There will be a short intermission between the conclusion of the ceremony and the beginning of cocktail hour. During this time you can stay and take photos at the Moffatt Ladd garden, take a walk through beautiful downtown Portsmouth, or stop in at a local cafe or bar for a refreshment. It is about a 7 minute walk from the ceremony to the reception venue. Cocktail hour at Jimmy's will begin at 5pm.
