Back in 2008, Jared and Jacque met back when he was a forbidden Senior in high school, and she was a mere Freshman. We saw one another at mutual friends' houses. We both knew of each other, but that was about it. ---- Fast forward to 2013, Jared was back in town for a friend's wedding. Jared and I saw each other on the 100 block. We talked a bit that night, but went our separate ways at the end of the night. Then, to my surprise Jared messaged me on Twitter, and the rest is history!

Jared and I "talked" for a few months before Jared officially asked me to be his girlfriend. I had a tough loss in my family, and Jared stuck right by my side through the whole thing. We knew after going through that, we could handle anything together. During our first few years of dating, I probably made one million and one trips up to Ames to visit him. It was well worth it-- as Jared converted me into a die-hard Cyclone Fanatic. We have had a lot of adventures together and we cannot wait to see what other adventures are in-store. We've been blessed with some of the following adventures thus far: graduating college, ski trips in Colorado, Big 12 Tournaments, ISU Tailgates, trips to California, getting our cat, Tiger, landing great jobs and buying our first home together!

Fast forward to December 2016, we were getting ready to go to the Mannheim Steamroller concert. But first, we went to a nice quaint restaurant in the Old Market, Niccola's (we highly recommend it). Both sides of our family were there to eat before we went to see the concert. I just recently had a "Song Night" for the sign language program I was in. Jared was showing everyone the video of it. After everyone was done seeing the video, Jared pulled my chair back and started signing to me! He made me say each word he was signing-- out loud to everyone. Before I knew it, he asked me to marry him. I was bawling and of course said YES! <3
