Longwood Gardens

Walking trails with extravagant gardens (indoors and out), a water lily exhibit (Amy's favorite), extraordinary water fountains, and good food! We've been here many times together and I highly recommend!

Bellevue State Park

About 6 minutes from the hotel and a beautiful park for walking and enjoying nature.

Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library

DuPont's Wilmington estate. They have exhibits as well from time to time (they had a fantastic one with the Downton Abbey costumes once), so be sure to check out what may be happening!

Dover Air Mobility Command Museum

If you're up for a drive, we went to this museum and was blown away (no pun intended). Aside from the planes and exhibit, they will sometimes even have veterans who love to speak on their time served. Really an amazing experience!

Wilmington & Western Railroad

If you enjoy trains as much as Amy's father once did, then you will love the experience of riding a steam engine with Wilmington & Western!

Hagley Museum

An historic site with guided tours and gorgeous Brandywine Creek-side views.

Delaware Art Museum

Amy's been here a few times and they always have wonderful exhibits!
