Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We absolutely adore your little ones, but our ceremony and reception will be adults‑only. That said, we truly hope this doesn’t keep you from joining us—we would love to celebrate with you! You have a couple options if you have kids: 1. Adults‑only getaway: Enjoy a relaxing weekend in the mountains while arranging childcare at home. Think of it as a mini, stress-free vacation for you! 2. Bring the family: Feel free to bring your kids for the weekend and arrange a babysitter just for the ceremony and reception. If you’re staying at Snowpine Lodge, it’s simple to pop in and check on your kids throughout the evening, and the lodge has great kid-friendly spots like an arcade and ball pit. If going the babysitter route, we recommend booking a babysitter early through Care.com or another local provider. We’re also happy to help connect parents who may want to share a sitter to make things easier (and more cost‑effective). Many guests are also considering bringing grandparents or in‑laws—both for extra family fun and built‑in childcare on the wedding day. Our hope is that everyone can spend the weekend with us!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

RSVPs aren’t open quite yet! We created this website early to help you get a head start on PTO requests, hotel bookings, travel plans, and any babysitting or dogsitting arrangements. Formal invitations will be sent closer to the wedding date, including all the details and the official RSVP deadline.

Question

How many nights should I stay?

Answer

Our wedding is on Sunday, July 25th, 2027. We recommend booking overnight accommodations for Friday, July 23 through Monday, July 26. We’ll be there all weekend: Friday is a relaxed time to settle in, Saturday we'll have something fun planned outdoors and Sunday is the big celebration. If you’re only able to come for part of the weekend, no worries, we recommend arriving Saturday, July 24 and departing Monday, July 26. Be sure to visit our Schedule and Things to Do pages for local adventures and mountain activities while you’re in town. Our group discount is available Thurs, Jul 22– Tues, Jul 27. For stays beyond Saturday and Sunday, please call Snowpine directly and mention our wedding to receive the discounted rate.

Question

When should I book travel?

Answer

If you’re planning to stay at Snowpine Lodge, we recommend booking as soon as reservations open in July 2026, since the lodge hosts other events that can fill up quickly. For flights to the wedding in July 2027, most U.S. airlines allow bookings 10–11 months in advance, so you can reserve your seat around August–September 2026. We heard the best pricing and availability for domestic flights is usually 1–3 months before departure. 💡 Tip: For peace of mind and guaranteed seats, consider setting up a fare alert or checking periodically starting late summer 2026 to catch the best deals for your July 2027 travel.

Question

Can I bring a guest/date?

Answer

While we’re doing our best to keep our celebration intimate, we’ve currently only planned for the guests formally listed on each invitation. If a plus one has been included, their name will appear on your invitation and RSVP. That said, your comfort truly matters to us — especially because we know what a big ask it is to travel and book accommodations for our special day. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us directly if you'd strongly prefer bringing a guest. We’re more than happy to chat and will do our best to accommodate when possible.

Question

Is the hotel dog friendly?

Answer

We love furry friends, but all hotels and lodges in Little Cottonwood Canyon are pet-free (service animals only). Because the canyon is a protected watershed supplying drinking water to the Salt Lake Valley, dogs aren’t allowed (even on leash) except for ADA-defined service animals and avalanche rescue dogs. There are many dog-friendly hotels just a short drive down the mountain in Salt Lake City, so your pup can stay comfy while you celebrate with us.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

For our wedding day, we’d love for our family and friends to dress up alongside us! We kindly encourage garden formal attire. Please avoid jeans or denim, as well as any shades of white, ivory, or beige.

Question

Will there be transportation?

Answer

If you’re staying at one of the lodges listed in the Travel section within Little Cottonwood Canyon, we’re happy to help coordinate our hotel shuttle to bring you to and from the wedding so everyone can relax and celebrate safely. If you’re staying in Salt Lake City, we suggest arranging an Uber or Lyft in advance for an easy ride home. Just a quick reminder that Utah has the lowest legal BAC limit in the country. Most importantly, we want everyone to celebrate fully and get home safely.
