Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Kim Jacobus and Matt DeSimone
~ BOATING ~ AVR has canoes and kayaks that are free for guests to use as well as several paddleboards available to rent. They can be used on the South Fork of the Colorado River, which has access to Lake Granby. You are more than welcome to bring your own paddleboards to use as well. ~BIKING~ Mountain bikes are available for half- and full-day rentals from the ranch. ~ FISHING ~ Lake Granby and Monarch Lake are both a short walk away from AVR. The South Fork of the Colorado River runs right through the ranch, so you have private access to great fishing. No license required to fish in the private pond! ~ HIKING ~ Directly behind the ranch is the Monarch Lake Trailhead, hiking entrance to the Indian Peaks Wilderness. ~ OTHER SUMMER ACTIVITIES ~ AVR has corn hole, horseshoes, volleyball, and other yard games. On weekends there is often live music at the lodge where you can roast marshmallows over the fire, play pool in the billiards room, and enjoy a drink at the Red Dog Saloon.
For all the days along the way
