We met on our first date. He picked me up, I opened the door, and we still aren't sure whether I was able speak when he said hello. The date went well, he brought me back home and talked with my parents and I for over an hour...I had a good feeling about him at this point.

Jacob came back to Pennsylvania with my family for Christmas for the first time, so I had planned on showing him the downtown ice skating area because it's one of my favorite places in Pittsburgh. My brother, sister-in-law, Jacob and I went shopping with the plan to go ring shopping and ice skating afterward. We did all that and arrived at the ice skating rink. There was a long line so we decided to just take some pictures. Little did I know, my family and Jacob had already had this day planned and he had already bought my ring from the jeweler in Pittsburgh that I wanted it from. While we were taking pictures he turned to me and said "I figured out the one thing I'd change about you, your last name" as he got down on one knee. I immediately was an emotional mess but said the easiest "YES" ever that night!
