Dear Family and Friends, Because it’s a popular holiday destination, we’ve put together a few helpful travel tips to make your trip as smooth and enjoyable as possible. 1. Book Accommodations Early Lake Geneva is a favorite Labor Day getaway, and hotels fill up quickly. 2. Expect Holiday Traffic With increased travel over the holiday weekend, traffic may be heavier — especially on Friday and Monday. 3. Parking in Lake Geneva Downtown parking can be limited during busy weekends. If you’re parking downtown, public lots tend to be more available earlier in the day. 5. Enjoy the Area If you’re arriving early or staying after the wedding, take some time to enjoy the area! From boat tours and lakeside walks to shopping and local wine tastings, Lake Geneva has something for everyone. 6. Pack for All Weather Early September weather in Wisconsin can vary — warm during the day and cooler in the evenings. Be sure to pack a few layers, just in case.
