Jacob and Cheyenne’s story began at Roth's Fresh Markets, where working side by side turned into friendship. When Jacob was promoted and moved to a new location, Cheyenne reached out to check in. Jacob explained that he transitioned stores sooner than expected but didn't want to make a big deal about it. Cheyenne shared that she would most likely see him around because she occasionally shopped at his new location because it was closer to where she lived. He responded by telling her she should swing by and "harass him anytime"; He then asked if she’d like to get together sometime. (Despite how Jacob may tell it, Cheyenne would like to clarify that she did not ask him out.) At the end of January 2022, they met for dinner at Love Love Teriyaki, the only seating available was outdoors. It was cold and windy, but neither seemed to notice—they talked until the restaurant closed. Though they both agreed they had a great time, yet no further plans were made…until a few days later, when Jacob asked to get together again. Cheyenne said yes, and from there they kept choosing each other. By May, when planning to attend a wedding for one of Cheyenne’s college friends, they realized they had been spending months together without ever officially putting a label on it. After a brief and sweet conversation, they became official. Four years later, they’re still choosing each other every day. Jacob planned a surprise beach date and asked Cheyenne to be by his side forever. She said yes—and now they get to celebrate with all the people they love.
