We are so excited for everyone to come and explore this awesome part of the country! From history fans, to outdoor enthusiasts, to drinking some local beer there's something for everyone!! P.S. This is not everything in the area but some places we have been or were recommended to visit by locals/other tourists. Feel free to do some research on your own too as there is so much! :)
Yellow River State Park

Yellow River State Park

We went camping here for 2 nights and it was so beautiful! We went on a HUGE 7 mile hike with Micki and it had awesome views and was a great workout! The campsites were a great price too! If you are looking to camp here make sure you book ahead!!

Pike's Peak State Park

We have not been here ourselves as it was closed the last time we were in the area but I was told by many locals to the area as well as Iowa natives that this is a beautiful state park to visit.
