Coming soon...
We are postponing our celebration of marriage due to COVID-19. We have decided we are still going to get married on our original date but we have unfortunately been restricted to a very small, intimate setting. However, we are planning on having a vow renewal and reception on July 10, 2021 when our guests and vendors are able to safely attend. Your health and safety are our top priority, and we hope you’ll save our new date for our vow renewal and reception at Burlington Plantation in Charles City, Virginia. We wish you and your loved ones all the best, and look forward to celebrating with you next summer!
That’s the beautiful thing about love... its unintentional, and it can happen when we least expect it. - Lisa de Jong Our love story begins during late summer of 2012 when we both signed up for a calculus undergrad class. Jacob sat in my seat the second class period to spark up a conversation with me and from that moment on we sat together and talked the entire time at every class. We decided to take another undergrad class together the following semester and in order to spend even more time with me, Jacob would ask to go on study dates in the school library. As time went on, these library study dates turned into actual dates and we decided to make it official the beginning of the following summer of 2013. 7 years later, we’ve traveled and explored countless places together, graduated from college, moved into a cute little apartment on Monument Avenue in Richmond, Virginia, started our careers, welcomed our sweet corgi Kirby into our family, and got engaged!! We are looking forward to starting this new chapter of our lives together, and can’t wait to celebrate with all of our favorite people!
The diamond Jacob used to propose is very sentimental. When Jacob’s Uncle Kelly found this beautiful diamond at his antique shop in Virginia Beach, he immediately thought of Jacob. He knew that Jacob was ready to propose, so he called him right away. Two months later, Jacob proposed to Stephanie with a romantic afternoon picnic at Maymont Park in Richmond, Virginia.
