Apple Maps not Google Maps

We met one scorching hot summer day in June of 2015. I was a camp counselor with WinShape and one of my campers had gotten sick during the meal. SJ then helped me with the sick camper and we were in love at first sight.

So after our lovely interaction in summer 2015 we did not talk to each other for three more years. Fast forward to summer 2018, and I was still serving at camp after graduating college and SJ was leading the nursing team with WinShape Camps. Throughout the summer SJ visited and was working with the nurses and on the second to last week of camp a group of staff was going to play putt putt together. I invited SJ to come and suggested that she could ride with me and of course needed her number to coordinate a ride when to leave. Smooth I know. We went putt putting and after the second hole it started pouring rain and we went to get pizza afterwards even though SJ did not tell Jacob that she shouldn't eat dairy or gluten haha, a story for a different day. After that, we continued to text until the end of camp, after which SJ was moving to Oklahoma City for three months and I moving to Rome. A couple days before SJ left, I went to Alabama met her parents and officially started dating. The first couple months were a fun time of growth, a lot of randomly timed Facetime calls, and reading books together and the rest is history.

SJ was coming to my parent's house for Christmas, and I had the clever rouse of saying we should go see Christmas Lights and that my mom wanted a picture of us for our Christmas card. So we drove around saw Christmas lights and had a lovely evening. I then said that we should find a big Christmas tree for a picture, we took a selfie and before she could walk away I proposed right then and there. Ultimate surprise factor hahaha.
