FAQs

Question

What is the wedding day schedule?

Answer

Our Catholic Mass ceremony will take place at St. Mary Magdalene Church from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM. Please plan to arrive between 2:00 and 2:15 PM. The reception will begin with cocktail hour at 5:00 PM, followed by dinner and dancing (and more), and will conclude with the bride and groom’s exit at 10:30 PM.

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Please join us in semi-formal attire. For women, think cocktail dresses, knee-length or midi dresses, or dressy skirts paired with a blouse. For men, a suit or dress slacks, button-up shirt and blazer with an optional tie will be perfect. Feel free to take it a step further and dress with a spring wedding in Italy vibe in mind—completely optional, but we’d love to see your stylish take on the theme!

Question

What should I know if I’ve never attended a Catholic wedding?

Answer

This is a full religious ceremony, lasting about an hour and including readings, prayers, vows, and Eucharistic Communion. If you’re not Catholic or not practicing, you’re welcome to remain seated during Communion or come forward with your arms crossed to receive a blessing—whichever feels right to you. There will be standing, sitting, and kneeling at various points throughout the service. Just follow the lead of those around you—no pressure to get it perfect. Please dress respectfully, as the ceremony takes place in a sacred space. Semi-formal or cocktail attire is perfect. Most importantly, you’re warmly invited to simply observe and enjoy the beauty and meaning of the ceremony. We are ecstatic to share our faith with you in this way.

Question

Will the reception be inside or outside?

Answer

Weather permitting, we’re planning an indoor dinner with cocktail hour and dancing outdoors. And don’t forget the hairspray—May in North Carolina can get humid!

Question

Answer

If you are RSVP'd yes to the shuttle please see below: Shuttle Information: Pick-Up at Courtyard Raleigh Cary: 4:30 PM Please be ready at the hotel before 4:30 PM to ensure timely departure. Drop-Off at The Bradford: Guests will be dropped off at the reception venue. Return Shuttles from The Bradford to the Courtyard Raleigh Cary: 9:00 PM 10:30 PM

Question

Can I take an Uber from the reception if I’m not using the shuttle?
