Hello Everyone!

We were looking forward to celebrating our special day with all of you. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic we will have to follow the state regulations for gatherings. Which will restrict many people from attending. Most importantly we want our family and friends to stay safe during this time. We will continue to keep all of you in our prayers, please keep us in your prayers as well as we are getting closer to the sacrament of marriage.

How We Met

HER STORY

First comes Retreats, then comes Marriage? In May 2013, we attended the Mid-Atlantic Conference also known as “MAC”. Jacob and I didn’t notice each other until some of us ended up playing midnight dodgeball. The next day, we ended up sitting next to each other during lunch. I realized Jacob lost his voice and sounded like a goat. Throughout the rest of the conference we didn’t really get to converse much. However, Jacob added me on Facebook soon after the conference ended. I will never forget Jacob’s pick up line, “Why are you friends with your sister on Facebook?” Even with this weird question, we ended up talking for hours. We finally exchanged numbers and remained just friends for about a year. In the beginning of 2014, we both attended a retreat called Recollect in ATL. I remember specifically praying for my vocation and later Jacob told me he liked me for the first time. It seemed like God knew exactly what He was doing. Jacob then asked me out a couple months later and we’ve been dating ever since. I knew Jacob was the one for me when he talked about the love he had for his family and the way he would treat mines as well. I know I made it very difficult for Jacob, but he was always persistent, he has always had the biggest heart. He fit into my life like the perfect puzzle piece. I cannot thank God enough for bringing Jacob into my life. He brings out the best version of myself. He’s the most selfless, caring and loving person I know. I can’t wait to marry my best friend!

HIS STORY

First comes Dodgeball, then comes Marriage

I attended the Mid Atlantic Conference thinking that it would be like every other Catholic conference I have attended, but I had no idea that it would change my life forever. It was a four day conference in Virginia where I was able to strengthen my faith and meet awesome new people. However, like most conferences we had a curfew every night that we had to uphold. On our last night there, a huge group of us decided to sneak out of our cabins at midnight and play midnight dodgeball on the field. As we were playing i noticed this beautiful girl run right in front of me. She was wearing gray jeans, a black hoodie and oddly enough had the ends of her hair dyed purple. She was right there in front of me and I was stunned by how cute she was, there was nothing more I can do that to peg the dodgeball at her and scream "ha got you!" She stopped looked at me, smiled, and then walked off the field. As I worked up the courage to go talk to her, the administrators of the conference came running out yelling at us to get back into our cabin. In the midst of the chaos I lost track of my mystery woman. The next day I was on a mission to find her. I knew this was the last day which also meant it was the last chance for me to see her. Finally during lunch, I see her sitting down and eating lunch. I walk up to the table and sit next to her and introduce myself. Before I can even say my name she asked me if I was that guy that threw the dodgeball at her the night before and the rest was history, She went from the girl I saw on the dodgeball field to the girl I mustered up the courage to eat lunch with to becoming my girlfriend and my fiance and now my wife. She became the love of my life and my everything. Our story wont end here, as we embark on our new journey as husband and wife.
