Answer

We need your RSVP by no later than 5/1/2024.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please check your RSVP to see if you have a plus one.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We ask to keep the wedding day KID FREE, as well as, any guests staying in the villas over the wedding weekend. If you are staying off site, the kiddos are welcome to visit during the other days aside from the wedding day.

Question

Can I stay in the Villa on site?

Answer

Currently, we are reserving spaces for the Bride & Groom, Wedding Party and immediate family of the Bride & Groom. Any additional rooms will be first come, first serve.

Question

How much does it cost to stay in the Villa and what is included?

Answer

Total cost to stay in the Villa from October 10 - 15, 2024 (5 nights) is $850 per person. Rooms are double occupancy and all have private bathrooms. Price includes breakfast every day.

Question

If I'm not staying in the Villa, can I still attend the other events?

Answer

Of course! If you are not staying in the Villa you are free to come and go as you please. There is plenty of parking on-site. We would love to spend as much quality time with you as possible.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Feel free to browse here: https://www.luccaapartmentsandvillas.co.uk/ We'd be happy to help book any accommodations to avoid foreign transaction fees and to just simplify your travel. Additionally we have booked with them before and highly recommend their properties. Most apartments and villas are a minimum 4-night stay. We recommend these - Amore Farmhouse, Nonna Bianca Farmhouse, Casa Lucky, Casa Poggi, Villa D'Amico, Casa La Guardia, Casa Emy, and Casa Eda. Otherwise, check on Expedia and Airbnb for other options. As for the Hotels we recommend, here are some: Palazzo Dipinto, The Tuscanian Hotel, Hotel IIaria and Bagni di Pisa Palace & Thermal Spa. Please contact me if you end up wanting to reserve one of these!

Question

I know Rebeca is the best travel agent. Can you help us book flights , hotels , and / or cars?

Answer

Of course! Please reach out to Rebeca directly for assistance. She will be happy to help leading up to the wedding. Respectfully, no travel requests after August. If you are in the DMV area and would like to fly out on October 6th, please let us know as we currently have a group flight booked with some extra spots open.

Question

I plan to book my own travel. What's the best airport to fly in and out of?

Answer

The two airports that are closest are Pisa (PSA) and Florence (FLR). Pisa is approximately a 20-30 minute drive and Florence is a 1 HR + drive. Picking what airport to fly into/out of all depends on your plans and if you would like to arrive before or stay after the wedding to further explore Italy.

Question

Should I look into Travel Insurance?

Answer

Of course! It's better to be safe than sorry. We highly recommend it with booking travel this far in advance. While we've never had to use our travel insurance, it's best to protect your travel investment. Once you have your travel dates booked and confirmed, let Rebeca help you book a plan with our preferred insurance, Allianz Partners.

Question

How should I get to the Villa? Will there be transportation provided? Can I rent my own car?

Answer

There will be transportation provided to and from the Villa. We are still working on this and plan to provide a larger passenger vehicle to pick up groups from the Pisa and Florence Airports and drop off at the Villas. Once transportation is finalized we will provide the pick up times. Please plan your arrival time around this to ensure you can catch a complimentary ride if needed. You are also free to rent a car if your timeline does not fit ours and especially if you plan to do some exploring of your own! We highly recommend exploring this beautiful country, it has so much to offer!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan to arrive by 3:45PM and take your seats by 4:25PM.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes. Please join us dressed in formal attire for the wedding day itself. If you will be attending other events during the wedding weekend, dressy casual is acceptable. (PLEASE NOTE: We will have a photographer on property the entire wedding weekend.)

Question

I'm staying in the Villa, do I need to be presentable at all times?

Answer

FULL DISCLOSURE: we will have photographers on site for the entire weekend as well as a videographer on the wedding day.

Question

What will the temperature be like around the wedding weekend?

Answer

Highs of 70 F and lows of 50 F. It will be perfect in the middle of the day and a little chilly in the mornings and evenings. Please remember to pack a jacket/some warmer clothes for the crisp mornings/evenings. P.S. Bring a bathing suit!

Question

Do I need to spend every second at the Villa? Or can I go out and explore?

Answer

Please refer to the "Schedule" for events we would like for you to attend. We would be offended if you spent every second at the Villa since you'd be missing out on the local culture of Italy! There are plenty of things to do that are within driving distance of the Villas in Lucca. Please refer to the "Things to Do" tab for suggestions!
