Bride
Rachel is a Geometry teacher at Norman North High School, surviving her first year teaching during a pandemic. Rachel graduated with honors from the University of Oklahoma in May of 2020 with a degree in Mathematics, full teaching certification, and a minor in history. Rachel grew up in Fairbanks, Alaska, so naturally she and Jacob hit it off over their love of the outdoor adventures.
Groom
Jacob is beginning his final year of medical school, and is planning on pursuing a career in family medicine. While an undergraduate, Jacob was heavily involved with the OU bands programs, performing and working alongside Rachel. He grew up in Greeley, Colorado.
Maid of Honor
Bekah is the most dedicated and caring person Rachel knows. Rachel and Bekah met in a math class in college their freshman year, choosing to sit at the same table because they were both wearing OU Band gear. Bekah was a member of the color guard and Rachel was a member of the logistics team. They then became roommates for the rest of their time at OU. Bekah now teaches high school math in North Carolina.
Best Man
Sergio and Jacob have known each other since Kindergarten, and have shared many years together of scientific enthusiasm and musical endeavors. He graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in physics, and is pursuing his doctorate at OU.
Bridesmaid
Taylor and Rachel met in the OU Band, both working on the logistics team during Rachel's freshman year. Taylor even met her husband, Neil, in the logistics team as well. Taylor works as a graphic artist for the Chickasaw Nation and loves getting to use her creativity everyday.
Groomswoman
Deanna is a medical school classmate of Jacob's, who is interested in pursuing a career in ophthalmology. She graduated from the University of Florida before moving to Oklahoma to complete her Masters degree in Piano Performance. Deanna boasts a typing speed of 160 words/minute and is incredibly proficient at suturing.
Junior Bridesmaid
Maya is Rachel's cousin and an avid Harry Potter Fan. Maya loves to swim, play chess, and leads an active lifestyle in and out of school.
Groomsman
Steven is Rachel's younger brother. Steven just finished his sophomore year at OU in Mechanical Engineering.
