We met in high school weight lifting, believe it or not! After talking for a few months and going out with friends, we finally started officially dating on December 27, 2010! It was right after we went ice skating and we try to go back around the same time every year.

Jacob had just picked me up from the airport in St. Louis and we were going to go to the zoo. I've been there a couple times so Jacob mentioned doing a 'St. Louis scavenger hunt' so we could maybe see new things, little did I know it was a fake scavenger hunt! We went to Grand Basin in Forest Park where there are a lot of fountains at this giant pond. We were walking to the 'scavenger hunt' point he had made up and then got on his knee and asked! I was truly surprised and didn't really give him the chance to say anything and even gave him my right hand for the ring because it was closest!
