Things To Do

The Wedding Website of McKinzee Steve and Jacob Karlin
Welcome to our home! We are so excited for you to have the opportunity to explore some of our favorite places.
University of Texas at Austin

University of Texas at Austin

Austin, TX

Hook 'em Horns! Jacob and McKinzee both studied at UT. The campus is beautiful and fun to walk in nice weather. You can start at Kerbey Lane on campus and grab some queso & pancakes (trust us) then walk the campus, checkout the tower, and head to one of the museums (see LBJ Library and Blanton Museum of Art).

LBJ Presidential Library

2313 Red River Street, Austin, TX 78705

A fascinating museum showcasing the life and legacy of President Lyndon B. Johnson, with interactive exhibits and historical artifacts. Open daily with affordable admission fees; tickets can be purchased online or at the entrance.

Blanton Museum of Art

Blanton Museum of Art

200 East Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard, Austin, TX 78712

Home to an extensive collection of European, American, and Latin American art, offering diverse exhibitions and educational programs. Jacob & McKinzee last visited the day they got engaged. Open Tuesday through Sunday with an admission fee; tickets can be purchased online for convenience.

Ann and Roy Butler Hike and Bike Trail

Ann and Roy Butler Hike and Bike Trail

Ann and Roy Butler Hike and Bike Trail, Austin, TX

A scenic 10-mile loop around Lady Bird Lake, perfect for walking, jogging, and biking with views of the city skyline. Free to use, with multiple access points and rental options for bikes and kayaks available nearby. We recommend the entry point at Edward Rendon Sr. Park at Festival Beach in Town Lake Metropolitan Park for easiest access from the hotel.

Zilker Metropolitan Park

Zilker Metropolitan Park

Austin, TX 78746

Zilker is where we first met! A great place for a picnic with a wide open field and where we go to the ACL music festival every year. From Zilker, you would have easy access to swimming at Barton Springs, hiking on the Barton Creek Greenbelt, or the west side of the Hike & Bike trail.

Mount Bonnell

Mount Bonnell

Austin, TX 78731

Offers stunning panoramic views of Austin and the Colorado River, making it a popular spot for hiking and photography. Free to visit and open year-round, with parking available at the base and a short hike to the summit.

Texas Capitol

1100 Congress Avenue, Austin, TX 78701

A grand, historic building housing the Texas Legislature, featuring impressive architecture, guided tours, and picturesque grounds. Free guided tours are offered daily; no reservations required, but it's best to check the schedule in advance.
