If you are not aware, Christendom has been building a new chapel, and Jake and I have been watching it be constructed from the ground up. The new chapel will have its dedication in April, and it is a great honor that we will be the very first graduating class in it in May, and one of the many first couples to be married in this chapel. We are very excited to begin our new life in this new chapel!
The reception will begin with a cocktail hour at 3:45pm at Dr. Cuddeback's Barn with a dinner to follow. The address for the barn is 945 Coldbrook Lane, Front Royal, VA 22630.
Our wedding is more than a big party, but rather a celebration of the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony. Keeping this in mind, we will be having our wedding Mass in a Catholic Chapel, so women should please wear an appropriate dress, and men should wear a suit and a tie, and keep hats off in the chapel. Please feel free to wear our wedding colors as part of your outfit!
Well, thanks for asking! :) The colors are dusty rose, desert rose, grey, and sage green.
Of course! We would love to have you attend the wedding Mass. That being said, if you are not Catholic, or if you are a Catholic who has not attended Mass in a while/not practicing the Catholic faith, Jake and I ask that you do not receive Holy Communion, as we believe that Jesus Christ is truly present in the Eucharist. If you have any questions as to why you cannot receive, or have any other questions about the Mass, please feel free to reach out to Jake or me, and we would love to answer any of your questions.
We plan on beginning on time at 1pm, so please arrive around 12:40pm at the latest. This gives you time to find a pew, admire the beautiful chapel, and say a prayer for the couple.
Yes! There will be a parking lot at Christ the King Chapel, and we will have parking attendants to direct you for Cuddeback's Barn.
Please RSVP by March 25th, 2023. This gives us a good idea of how much alcohol and food we should purchase for the reception.
Please do not bring a date unless it is specified in your invitation that you can do so. Although, this should not be a problem, as Jake and I most likely invited your significant other ;) If you have any questions about this, please feel free to reach out to Jake.
We have our registry through Zola. Feel free to look at the registry tab on this website to see our complete registry, thank you in advance! Also, feel free to gift us something that's not on our registry as well, no pressure!
I put three different locations for housing under the travel tab on this website. There are many motels in the Front Royal area, but Jake and I strongly suggest the hotels that we presented. They are decently priced. That being said, please make your RSVP asap to those hotels, as we are not holding blocks.
Jake and I are allowing anyone to go to the Mass at 1pm and the reception AFTER the dinner at 7pm. These guests are not allowed to partake in the open bar.
