Jacob and Lizbeth met in 2018 in an English Composition class at Gavilan College. Lizbeth was running late (surprise, surprise) and sat at the group of desks with the least students-where Jacob was sitting. Later throughout the semester, Jacob and Lizbeth engaged in small talk and came to the realization that they both worked in the same section of the Gilroy Outlets, and Lizbeth had been coworkers with his lifelong best friend, Jonathan (JD). Fast forward to 2019, and Jonathan sets them up. Jacob and Lizbeth went on a couple of dates and eventually became close friends who got together every Friday night to watch WandaVision. After almost 3 years and both transferring to San Jose State University, they realized they had developed feelings that they couldn't deny any longer, and a strong friendship that they've continued to have to this day. Jacob and Lizbeth moved into their first apartment in downtown San Jose in 2022, graduated together from SJSU in 2023, grew their family with the addition of Camper, their golden-doodle, and became engaged in 2024.
