Nick is my cousin and I have grown close to him over the years through countless outings including but not limited to poker nights, hockey games, hunting, and lake trips. I've always enjoyed my time with him as he is an excellent conversationalist, especially when it comes to sports!

Joshua Patton

Josh is a pleasantly goofy slender man who enjoys fishing and outings with friends. I've known Josh since the 4th grade where we quickly became best friends. We are essentially family. We have gone on each other's family trips to the lake and the desert and have been on countless other adventures together. We were also on the high school water polo team together where Josh was our goalie. When we were kids, we practically lived together. Josh has a great taste in music and a great sense of humor. You'll always find yourself laughing around him.

Garrett Parker

Garrett is extremely chill and easy going. He's always there for a great laugh and an interesting conversation. He loves a good debate about any topic you can think of. He's a sports fanatic and loves hockey (Go Ducks!). I have technically known Garrett since elementary school. However, we didn't really become friends until our senior year of high school. We've become great friends enjoying multiple concerts, games, and other outings together. We're also involved in an amazingly designed ongoing Dungeons & Dragons campaign.

Joseph Voelker

Joe is an impressive sailor with a Master's degree. He's a New Yorker who loves thrilling adventures and his family. He's an avid snowboarder with a great sense of humor and a great friend. I met Joe when Jenelle started dating him while I was in high school. We've been great friends ever since as we share multiple interests in music, sports, and other entertainment activities. Joe is now a member of the family and my beloved brother.

Jared Schurkman

Best Man

Jared is probably the funniest and most loving 6'4 red headed and bearded man in the world. Jared is my brother, best friend, and best man. We may have gotten off to a rough start, as most brothers do, but now we're inseparable. We regularly hang out with each other at dinner, concerts, parties, water polo, fishing, and basically anything else you can think of. Jared is always looking for a laugh and to give a helping hand. Everyone wants be around him as he brings a smile to those near. He's a loving Dad who is driven to succeed in life. He impresses us every day as he cares for his child, works 2 different jobs, attends graduate school, and maintains his social life... I couldn't think of choosing anyone else as my BEST man.

Torris Epps

Torris is a walking contradiction. He is extremely easy going, but also the most competitive person you will ever meet. I met Torris during my 1st or 2nd year of graduate school (we can't quite remember) when Jake Limon brought him over to one of my infamous parties. I distinctly remember playing the most intense game of glow in the dark bocce ball in my parents backyard that night. We had a great time. Ever since that night, Torris has been at almost every hangout occasion with the friend group, and we wouldn't have it any other way. He is always a pleasure to hang around, and he is always ready for a game.

Jacob Limon

Jake is an eccentric loving friend. He has a multitude of interests including music, jiu jitsu, fishing, guns, and art. We can guarantee you've never met someone as fun and interesting as him, so we recommend that you introduce yourself. Our friend group frequently calls him Limon (his last name) due to the duality of names. Jake Limon and I have been friends since our sophomore year of high school where we played water polo together. We've grown closer throughout the years, and even spent about 2 months traveling across the entire United States together in a prius without a rear view mirror. We only stayed in a hotel once throughout the entire trip! Limon is a dear friend to me and we always look forward to adventures with him.

Sean Barraza

Sean has the beautiful voice of Johnny Cash and a very dry sense of humor which we all love. I met Sean during high school where we played water polo and swim together. We were each excellent athletes and became friends almost immediately. We are active members of a fictional club called the Goldfish Homeboys which basically seals our friendship for eternity. Even though Sean joined the Navy soon after high school and moved away, we've each made a point to visit each other no matter the distance. Great times come hand in hand with Sean.

Dakota Gaumer

Dakota is an athletic comic with class. He loves sarcasm with any sort of historic relevance and always give the group a good laugh. I've known Dakota since high school where we hung out on multiple occasions. I value our friendship and look forward to any outings together.

Jacob Nichols

Jacob is a witty fashion icon who makes amazing cocktails. Look for him on the next episode of jeopardy. He is Lindsay's youngest brother, and I've bonded with him through our mutual love of video games, board games, and dry sense of humor. While I don't get to see Jacob that often because he lives in San Diego or Arroyo Grande throughout the year, I always enjoys a visit with his presence, as I know I am going to get to play various games while sipping on a delicious whiskey sour.

John Nichols

John is a handy man who loves his dog Oakley. He's Lindsay's fraternal twin. I met John at the University of Redlands through Lindsay. We went to a fair amount of parties together and always had a great time playing a variety of games. John is always a delight to hang around, and Lindsay and I always look forward to hanging out with him and Karli (his wife) when we come to Arroyo Grande for a family visit.

Robert (Bobby) Boggs

Groomsman

Bobby is the Big Friendly Giant. He's hilarious and often causes me to have those laughing fits where it becomes incredibly hard to breathe. He is also quite tech savvy and loves to work on all sorts of engineering projects. He has built a robot that can track your movement and automatically fire nerf darts at you, a talking skeleton on a stick to be used for trick or treating, a drone attachment to cast fishing line extremely far distances, and a very well balanced two wheeled robot. Bobby also loves to cook and we have had multiple dinners together where he makes delicious BBQ for Lindsay and I. Bobby and I met later in high school and became great friends soon after. I highly value my friendship with him and always enjoy his company.

Dillon Hedgpeth

Dillon is the life of the party. He provides the energy that all celebrations need. Dillon and I met in first grade and he is like a brother to me. Growing up, Dillon practically lived at our house since we hung out so much. He came on almost all of our family vacations and is known and loved by my entire family. I can't count the amount of experiences we have shared together throughout our lives, but I cherish our life long friendship.

Keegan Sentner

Keegan is a creative mind with an adventurous spirit. He has spent a significant amount of time traveling the world, and has recently been between Colorado and Mexico writing and studying wildlife biology. He is a brilliant writer and is passionate about protecting our environment. I met Keegan in Kindergarten. He is one of my oldest friends and I cherish our friendship. I spent much of my childhood with him. I remember frequently going over to his house to play Clue or Monopoly with his mom (Lori). We could never beat her. We lived down the street from each other and grew up hanging out all the time, playing sports or games together, going on hikes, camping, you name it. He's definitely one of my best friends and I couldn't imagine life without his friendship.

Sara Miller

I consider Sara to not only be my best friend but the sister I never had. Although Sara and I are the opposite in many ways we have always been the perfect compliment to one another. Sara is fiercely loyal to those she loves and I am so lucky to have someone like her in my life to share everything with. From fan-girling over Justin Bieber and One Direction to McDonald's soda runs and movie nights...we have created so many amazing memories and I know we will continue to make many more together as we embark on the next chapter of our lives. I am so glad I convinced Sara to become my friend 15 years ago in the locker room during 7th grade PE because without her my life would have never been the same.

Gabi is one of the sweetest and most kind people you will ever meet. She radiates happiness inside and out from her amazing smile to her great sense of style. Gabi's silliness and bubbly personality are infectious and just a couple of the things I love about her. Gabi and I first met in 7th grade and have remained great friends since. Although we don't see each other as much as we would like, we always pick up right where we left off and continue to be there for one another in the good and tough times.

Brittney Boudreau

Brittney and I met during a psychology class at University of Redlands and quickly became friends. Brittney's kindness, openness, creativity, outgoing personality, and love for animals are just a few of her amazing qualities. Although Brittney lives states away in Colorado she never fails to make me feel supported and loved from afar by taking the time to text, call, or Facetime. Jake and I both consider Brittney to be a close friend and are excited to have her as part of our wedding day.

Jessica Kolsky

It is hard to imagine a time when I wasn't best friends with Jess Kolsky. I met Jess the first day of dive practice my freshman year at the University of Redlands and by the end of the practice we had already started to become friends with our own nicknames (Jess became the "mama cow" to my "baby cow"). Little did I know just a few weeks later Jess would introduce me to her good friend Jake at a Halloween party, who would later become my boyfriend and is now my soon to be husband. From the beginning of our relationship, we could often be found hanging out with Jess and she jokingly became our "designated third wheel" but we wouldn't have wanted it any other way! Jess lights up any room with her beaming smile, goofiness, and her contagious laugh and she always down for ice cream or an adventure. Jess was there is the beginning of Jake and I's relationship and I can't wait for her to be by our sides when we officially begin our lives together as husband and wife!

Yvette Becerra

Yvette grew up with Jake and has known him since the age of 5. I was lucky to meet Yvette through Jake when she came to hang out at Jake's house near the University of Redlands on multiple occasions. After our first meeting, Yvette and I continued to grow closer each time we hung out and became closer than ever when we become roommates my senior year at the University of Redlands. Yvette is one of the most thoughtful friends out there and has a heart of gold. She is one of my biggest cheerleaders and I am blessed to have her as a friend. I am so excited to have Yvette as part of Jake and I's wedding day as she has been such a big part of both of our lives.

Jake Sarver

Jake and I have been friends since high school. We have shared many memories together such as going to the homecoming together, decorating Christmas cookies every year, and going to the farmer's market (just to name a few). Despite our education and careers taking us to different locations we have stayed present in each other's lives and love to catch up over breakfast at one of our favorite local restaurants, Zorro's Cafe. Our time together is always filled with lots of laughter and reminds me of how fortunate I am for our friendship. In addition to being one of my oldest friends, Jake is a scientist, cat-lover, amazing gardener, and world traveler. I love his sense of humor, sarcasm, independence, spunk, and ability to bring the fun to any outing. At our wedding, you can bet that he will be one of first people on the dance floor and one of the last to leave!

Karli Nichols

I will be forever grateful to my brother John that he chose such an amazing person to be my sister-in-law. With Karli as a new member of the family I have not only gained a great new sister but an even better friend who I can always count on to chat with me for hours, accompany me on coffee runs, and be my Ross shopping partner. Jake and I love Karli and being able to spend time together with her and John when we are in town. Karli's brings contagious joy to any occasion and we know our wedding day will be no exception!

I first met Jenelle (Jake's sister), shortly after Jake and I began dating 7 and 1/2 years ago. Jenelle and I both grew up the only daughter with two brothers and I think I speak for us both when I say we are excited to officially become sisters! We have shared so much of our lives together over the years from countless family gatherings to major life milestones. Jenelle is a great daughter, sister, friend, and an amazing mother to our nephews, Joey and Jack. I am beyond thankful to have someone as thoughtful, kind, and selfless as Jenelle for a forever sister. I'm so excited to have Jenelle be a part of Jake and I's special day and I look forward to a lifetime of special memories with my new sister!

I first met Livvy about 6 years ago when she began dating Jake's brother, Jared. From that moment on, Livvy and I have been able to share so many great memories as we have both been lucky enough to be welcomed into the Schurkman family. Livvy never seizes to amaze me with the endless empathy, compassion, and love she has for those around her. She started out as a good friend but is now nothing short of family. From being the most supportive sister-in-law to being the best mother to our adorable nephew, Oliver, Jake and I's lives are definitely better with Livvy in it!
