It sounds very chic and cool to say "we met at a party" until you recall that this party involved a hot tub where we had to turn off the jets otherwise it would overflow ("bath with friends") because we fit a good 10 people into a space where maybe 6 should have been, and we invented a game that somehow involved throwing a beer bottle into said hot tub and people having to compete to retrieve it all without shattering this bottle in the aforementioned hot tub...and again there's wayyyy too many people packed in there and Lee and Jacob found themselves smooshed together like sardines and the rest is history. This party happened in early 2019, and here we are 7 years later, getting married! Lee and Jacob spent the early days of their relationship hoodwinking the Capitol Hill parking meters to let Jacob park his 1999 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Edition for 8 hours at Lee's shoebox apartment instead of 4. Jacob took Lee rock climbing, which she wasn't a fan of but she did genuinely try. Lee took Jacob partying, which he was okay with. They were long distance for 2 years, which culminated in Lee flying to Nashville to collect Jacob, and driving back together, with stops in Minneapolis to see Emma and Gabe, as well as Badlands National Park, which Lee slept through even though she had insisted upon visiting. These days they live in their condo in Beacon Hill, Seattle, with their two cats Bolt and Zoom. Jacob supports Lee's artistic endeavors, mainly by taking care of the cats and the home while Lee is at rehearsal, and Lee has attempted to learn Dungeons & Dragons and Magic the Gathering. Their favorite thing to do together is to take Lime Scooters to the waterfront for drinks and chowder at Ivar's.
