FAQs

Question

Why is the wedding on a Monday?

Answer

Originally, this was meant to be a simple elopement with just the two of us. And truthfully… it was a lot cheaper. When we realized the package allowed us to invite guests, what started as an intimate plan quickly grew into something we didn’t expect. However, now we truly wouldn’t have it any other way. We know that a weekday wedding, especially one with events spaced throughout the day, can require extra flexibility and planning. Please know how deeply we appreciate everyone who is willing to take time out of their week to celebrate with us.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Guests can arrive as early as 11:30am with the ceremony starting promptly at 12:00pm at Forsyth Park Inn (102 W Hall St, Savannah, GA 31401)

Question

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

For Women Floor length gowns, midi dresses, or elevated cocktail dresses are all appropriate. Light, flowy fabrics such as chiffon, silk, or satin are perfect for the setting. Dressy heels, block heels, or elegant flats are welcome. Soft pastels, sage green, dusty blue, blush, lavender, floral prints, muted earth tones, or classic neutrals. For Men A suit and tie is appropriate for this formal setting. Light gray, navy, tan, cream, or soft blue suits are ideal. A classic dark suit is also welcome. Dress shoes are recommended. No shorts or overly casual attire, please.

Question

What should I expect after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, we’ll take immediate family photos followed by a large group photo on the balcony. Lumpia will be served while we briefly head to the park for husband & wife photos, and then we’ll circle back for cake cutting with everyone! We have the event space at the inn from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. We will all reconvene again at 5:00pm for the reception dinner!

Question

Where is the reception dinner?

Answer

The reception dinner will be at Local 11ten (1110 Bull St, Savannah, GA 31401) at 5:00pm. The restaurant is approx. a 10 minute walk from the wedding venue.

Question

What should I wear to the reception dinner?

Answer

Because there is a longer break between the ceremony and dinner, we completely understand that guests may head out to explore, relax, or enjoy the afternoon in Savannah. You are absolutely welcome to freshen up or change before we reconvene for dinner. We definitely will be doing that! The reception at Local 11ten will be relaxed and celebratory, think “nice dinner on a Monday night.”

Question

What can I expect at the reception dinner?

Answer

Our reception will be relaxed and focused on what matters most to us, sharing a meal with the people we love! There won’t be a formal program, big entrances, or dancing (we don't dance). Instead, the evening will be centered around good conversation, great food, drinks, and dessert. Think of it as a celebratory dinner party rather than a traditional wedding reception. We want the evening to feel easy, unhurried, and meaningful.
