We had been eyeing each other out at our local gym anytime we saw each other there. Both of us were definitely more on the shy side, so there was a lot of back and forth of small talk. Eventually Kiera caved with the small talk and asked if he would spend some time with her. She knew he was special from the very first date. He was a gentleman that swept her right off of her feet, and has continued to do so everyday from then on. December 2nd, 2019, Jacob decided to get on one knee and ask her to spend the rest of her life with him, it was the easiest yes she has ever said.

We had planned a quick little “Christmas card” shoot with Mary Gracielle Mason , little did I know, this man had his own plan set up with our photographer to turn this into a surprise engagement shoot. The weather was absolutely freezing, the skies were clear, and that "golden hour" sun was absolutely perfect. We even had a surprise guest, a large ginger kitty followed us around the whole shoot, even tried snuggling up with us for some of the shots. We head back towards the lake after taking a few pictures on a dock. Gracielle wanted some solo shots of me with Jacob in the background. He wasn't just standing in the background, there he was behind me, on one knee holding the most gorgeous ring. She says “okay now turn around and look at him”, and there it was, my entire future looking up at me. That yes couldn’t have been any easier. Despite the frigid weather, and large kitty that followed us around all evening, this was the best day of our lives and the start to an incredible journey together.
