Jacob and I met in medical school. There were some people that witnessed the beginnings.... namely two of my very best friends (Brittany and Danielle). They were there when the idea sparked that I should probably marry this amazing man. Being the wise-badass-boss women they are they gently suggested that maybe I should try dating him first. So I slowed it down.... I suffered through some awkward dates, I laughed at some dad jokes, then I lied and said his soups (that he would hand deliver to my house) were delicious, I taught him what wine is, he taught me what basketball is... all the while I tried to keep my cool while secretly planning our wedding and future children in my head. Now I'm not saying it's all been a fairy tale. Actually it's been more like a stressful maze navigating how we are going to manage these big dreams of ours while still managing to live in the same region of the country with two very busy schedules, while also literally dying of love for our dog. In the three years we have been together we have lived in 4 states, lived in some really bad apartments, taken countless tests, triumphed major successes, suffered losses of our patients, and fallen deeper in love. We both agree that no matter how fast our days move or how much is demanded of us, we can always come home to our sweet little world. We love it here. Come join us in celebrating how much we love it! After all our world wouldn't be the same without you.
