Our story started with a swipe in September of 2020. A swipe you may ask? Yes, Jacob and Kalani met on a dating app well known as Tinder. It started with a casual chat that eventually led to endless nights of conversation, laughter, and a connection that was effortless from the very start. We discovered early on that we had so much more in common. We shared the same birthday, same car make, model, and even the same color. How ironic! It was like the universe was trying to nudge us together. However, it didn’t happen that easily. Safe to say, Jacob was in the friend zone for 3 months until our first date at Chick-Fil-A in Roseville. The more time we spent together, the more we were falling for one another without even realizing it. We became best friends and quickly realized how our interests, goals, and values in life aligned. On February 20th, 2021 in El Dorado Hills we officially became a couple. Jacob surprised Kalani with a bouquet of tulips hillside with a sunset view. From there on, everything started to fall into place. Over the past five years, we’ve shared so many unforgettable moments. From moving in together, getting our dog Theo, coffee dates, traveling, watching sunsets, and making memories with our families. Yet our favorite memories are simply the everyday moments we’ve spent together. On January 25th, 2025 Jacob proposed to Kalani in Foster City surrounded by our families. It was a moment filled with love, commitment and the start of our forever. We thank you all for your love and support in shaping our story. We can’t wait to celebrate with you all in Hawai’i!
