If you are visiting Lisbon, our recommendation is to stay near downtown. The best neighborhoods to look around would be Chiado, Alfama, Avenida and Principe Real. Bairro Alto is also very centrally located but can get very noisy from all of the bars that operate late night. If you want to stay closer to the venue, there are plenty of beaches in the area and we would recommend looking in Cascais or Estoril. These towns are charming but have fewer things to do than Lisbon. We have some hotels listed in the Travel section of the website, check it out!
No, there is no reserved block of rooms at any hotel. We will be staying at the Brown Avenue hotel in Lisbon though!
The wedding venue is called Forte da Cruz and is located in Estoril, Portugal. Estoril is about a 20 minute drive from downtown Lisbon. The best way to get there would be via car. There are plenty of Ubers in Lisbon but Lyft does not operate here.
No, sorry. We recommend you use Uber or park at the venue.
Yes! There is a private parking lot that holds around 20 cars and ample street parking.
Not really. But the venue has direct access to the beach, so you are welcome to go dip your feet in the ocean if you want!
Summer cocktail attire. Light hues, pastel tones, lightweight fabrics, and airy silhouettes are encouraged. It's probably going to be pretty hot with a chance of wind, so keep that in mind! This dress code strikes a balance between elegant and comfortable. Instead of a floor-length dress, women should opt for a tea-length, knee-length, or midi look, a dressy skirt and top, or an elegant pantsuit (styled with heels, nice wedges, or formal flats). Tuxedos and short-sleeved shirts are discouraged, so men should settle on a dress shirt and slacks, with the option to wear a tie.
Both! Ambas as línguas!
