Though quarentine was not a great time to start dating, we both found ourselves cruising an online dating app, looking for love. God had done a lot in our lives in the last couple of years and we were both single parents, living for the Lord.... but doing it alone. We started chatting on a dating site and then Jacob wrote and said, "We seem to have a lot of values in common. Would you like to go on a date?" I said yes and about 4 weeks later, we met at a local coffee shop for 45 minutes that would change our lives. During that date, we laughed and talked about anything and everything we thought was important in finding a life partner. A couple of weeks later, we went out for tacos and talked in the car for a couple of hours without even knowing how much time had passed. In October, Jacob invited me to that same coffee shop to grab a cup between his work meetings. He had a plan and a couple of friends came to record the event. Jacob proposed with a sparkling crown ring as a "place holder ring" with a card that read, "Ready for an adventure?" Of course I said yes and we started on a journey merging life and kids and creating a life that will be on mission for Jesus.
