Love Happens

It was Spring of 2018. Jamie had moved back to Nebraska early last fall and Jake was looking for a new beginning. Many times in life our saying is, “timing is everything”, but this never meant more than this moment in time. Just beginning a search for a man that could hold her heart and Jake almost ending his search, the internet could have never been more true. It’s really quite silly to hear Match but there was one profile each had their eyes set on. Jake will tell you that he saw Jamie first and Jamie will tell you she messaged him, but regardless, the interest and attraction was there. It took a couple of weeks before the first date. Maybe it was to make sure that this person was worth their time but by the time they planned their first date, April 4th couldn’t have come faster. It was barely half way into their first date when they both knew, life would never be the same. They found each other. Their trusted partners. Someone to rely on. And possibly, their forever. In a year and a half they have been inseparable. This has given them years worth of dating condensed into a shorter amount of time. All this has lead them to know that before most, they each knew they found their “one”. September 3rd, 2019, Jake couldn’t wait anymore. While camping in Yellowstone National Park by the most serene lake, Yellowstone Lake to be exact, Jake got down on one knee and proposed to Jamie. Asking her a question that left her in awe for days. It’s undeniable when you see these two together. How love could be straight out of a movie. But they have it. It’s life forever and always, Jake and Jamie.
