WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!

We met at Morningside College where we became close friends for about a year. By chance we were classmates in almost every class, and by a stroke of what can only be fate we had assigned seats next to each other in each class. And the rest is history...

Our first date happened on accident truly. We had planned to go to the movies together, a scary movie. And something to note is that Jade hates scary movies and Jacob loves them, but she was willing to go if it meant a date with Jacob. But before that happened there was a beautiful late night and Jacob offered to walk Jade back to her dorm from the library to make sure she got there okay. The walk turned into 5 hours of walking around Sioux City and talking about everything about one another. Needless to say, our legs were sore the next day and we were tired! Also, Jacob would like to note that Jade has still never watched a scary movie with him to this day.

Jacob had originally planned to propose at the Omaha Zoo, because Jade loves animals and it was their Valentine's Day plans. Since he completely forgot Valentine's Day the year prior, he wanted to make up for it this year. But his plans had to change when they had to take an emergency trip to Texas.... a day before his planned proposal! He had to think quick on his feet and despite no stop lights working, cold temperatures, and almost running out of gas, it all worked out perfect in the end. He proposed at South Padre Island in front of the beach and it was perfect.
