We met at a Coed bible study that we were apart of in October 2018. Jacob was helping lead the study and I had just started going. Jacob asked me to go to get coffee together to get to know each other better in early December and then he asked me on an official first date a week later. On our first date, Jacob chose to have a very difficult conversation. He told me that he knew I wanted to do Over Seas Missions and he was not sure what that looked like for him. We decided to leave it in Gods hands completely and that we would date until it did not make sense to be together. A month later, Jacob asked me to be his girlfriend on January 15th 2019. We were both still in school at OSU and we grew so much in our relationship with each other and in our love for the lord. I was preparing to go to India during the summer of 2019 and Jacob had taken a position as an intern for the summer at an Engineering firm in Oklahoma City. I left for the summer to share the gospel in India and Jacob started his career in a field he is so passionate about. We both knew that once we got back to Stillwater we would have to have a hard conversation. Being in India made me on fire for missions and my heart was broken for the lost. I wanted to go back immediately. Jacob wanted to do missions but in several years and did not know how that would look together. We decided to break up in August 2019. That was the hardest time in both of our lives. Jacob looked into different mission options during this time and I was struggling with so much in my personal life. It got to a point that I was in such a dark place that I needed a friend. Jacob was there for me just as my friend. He helped get me out of a dark place. Once I was feeling more myself he revealed he wanted to do over seas missions and he knew exactly how he wanted to get there and he asked if I would consider being with him again. I knew that if he could stand by me during that, we could get through anything. We got engaged March 14th
