It was 2013. We met at the movies in a group of church friends. I cannot for the life of me remember the movie, and honestly do not remember much about meeting Jacob. However, we began a friendship that would remain a friendship for over four years, until one day we both realized we saw each other in a new light. Our friendship deepened into a close companionship where we could confide in each other in everything. It took about two of these years (filled with many nights of prayer) to finally come together and admit our desire to move toward "pursuing" each other in a more "romantic" way. Jacob did most of the pursuing, and we spent a lot of time together figuring out what we desired from life and putting that before the Lord. Until, February 16, 2019 we took the biggest step in our relationship when Jacob asked me to be his wife. We have had so much fun planning our special night in the forest with all of our family and friends to celebrate the new life we are about to begin.
We started going to church together when we were both sophomore's in highschool, then later started going to school together, and from there our friendship began! There was never an inkling in highschool that we would ever fall for each other. The moment we began to develop feelings for each other was when I had returned from a 6 month journey in India on mission. I remember seeing her for the first time and thinking she was so beautiful, inside and out. In a year span our relationship flourished and as did my feelings for her... and in November of 2016, I told her my feelings for her and that I wanted to marry her! (Okay I wasn't that bold, but that's the short version). In February of 2019, after three years of an amazing relationship, I got down on one knee, profusely shaking and asked her to marry me! That's the beginning of our beautiful story!
