We’re getting married!

Jacob and Grace met through a mutual friend in early August 2023. What began as casual messages and late-night phone calls over the course of a few weeks quickly grew into something more meaningful. It wasn’t until Jacob asked Grace on a proper date that they both realized this connection might be something special. After picking her up following a golf outing, he took her mini golfing—an easygoing start to their first day together. Knowing Grace had mentioned she disliked traditional movie theater dates because you can’t talk and truly get to know one another, Jacob thoughtfully chose a drive-in theater instead, where they could continue their conversation and learn more about each other. Grace must have made quite the impression, because the very next day Jacob invited her to meet his mother. Soon after, Grace left for a week to visit family in Florida, and Jacob eagerly awaited her return so they could see each other again. After several more dates throughout the next month, Jacob knew he didn’t want to waste any more time. On September 9, 2023, he asked Grace to be his girlfriend. Over the next year, their relationship deepened as they became an integral part of one another’s lives. In August 2024, they took their first vacation together, creating memories that only strengthened their bond. The following year, they moved in together and adopted the most handsome little kitty, beginning to build a home filled with love and laughter. On June 28, 2025, Jacob decided he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Grace. Shortly after this beautiful milestone, they faced their first great loss together when their sweet kitty, Gizmo, passed away. Through grief, they leaned on one another, growing stronger in love and resilience. In September 2025, they welcomed their second kitty, Binx, into their lives. Since then, this little family has been joyfully planning their special day, eagerly anticipating the moment when all their family and friends gather to celebrate the love they have built together.
