What is guests attire?

Answer

We invite our guests to dress in semi-formal attire. For men, this typically means a suit or dress pants with a button-down shirt (a tie or jacket is welcome but not required). For women, cocktail dresses, dressy midi or maxi dresses, or elegant jumpsuits are perfect. We recommend attire that feels polished yet comfortable, and colors that complement a wedding celebration. No jeans, shorts, or casual wear please. We’d love to see everyone all dressed up with us!

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one they will appear under your name when you RSVP. We wish we could invite everyone - but we cannot! :)

Is there a shuttle service available to and from the venue?

Answer

Yes - you can find more info under the "travel" tab. It will run every hour to/from Emerald Hills to Honey Creek and the Continental Hotel in Centerville.

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

We ask that guests RSVP by July 15th, 2026 - that way we can get our caterer's the correct numbers and so we have a good idea of what to be prepared for!

Where should I stay?

Answer

We have included travel details under the travel tab. The Continental Hotel, Hotel Pommier, Honey Creek Resort, and cabins all around are great options. There are also VRBO's and AirBNB's in the area, along with several cabin options. We appreciate everyone’s willingness to travel to celebrate us!

Where is the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Both the ceremony and the reception will be held at Emerald Hills Events! Address (listed on invite as well) - 3142 HWY S56, Promise City, Iowa 52583

When should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start at 4:30pm so we ask guests to start arriving around 4:00pm and arrive no later than 4:15pm or you may miss out!

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you cannot attend our wedding please indicate your regrets on our RSVP tab so we can plan accordingly.

Will there be a bar?

Answer

Yes! There will be beer, seltzers, and non-alcoholic beverages on us! Along with some wine during cocktail hour. Other drinks available for purchase - such as mixed drinks and shots.
