Other downtown favorites include browsing the City Market, snapping a photo at the Pineapple Fountain, enjoying a rooftop bar, strolling along Rainbow Row, and so much more. If you’ll be in town on Friday night, we highly recommend checking out the Charleston Art Walk! On the first Friday of every month, many local galleries open their doors to the public and offer complimentary wine while you browse. The Battery
Take a stroll along The Battery and admire the stunning waterfront mansions that define Charleston’s historic beauty. Wander beneath the oak trees in White Point Garden, then continue exploring the enchanting cobblestone streets that surround this iconic area. Fun Fact: From The Battery, you can see Fort Sumter — the site where the first shots of the Civil War were fired!
Folly Beach
Folly Beach is Charleston’s laid-back, sandy playground — lovingly known as “The Edge of America.” Here, flip-flops are practically the dress code, the vibes are easy and carefree, and the sunset steals the show every night. Stroll the pier, pop into a local beach bar, and soak up that unmistakable Folly energy. It’s the perfect place to unwind before or after the wedding!
Shem Creek Marina
Shem Creek is a beautiful walkway along one of the most iconic creeks in Charleston. Many bars and restaurants line the water. Stop and grab a drink and watch the boats, birds, and dolphins in the creek! We recommend Saltwater Cowboys for the best view!
Sullivan's Island
Sullivan's Island is a beautiful beach town with stunning beach homes, adorable boutique shops and restaurants, and gorgeous sand dunes. We recommend taking a beautiful beach walk along the dunes while admiring Sullivan's Island Lighthouse.
