It was a Sunday morning. I, Faith, had my first-ever shift of Sunday Morning Nursery at my new church and got there way earlier than I needed to be. I, Jacob, was running behind that morning to serve in nursery. I bustled through the front doors, hurried passed the greeting team, and went up to the front desk. I was cutting it close, but I made it. I didn't have a clue that I would walk into my assigned nursery room to find the woman I would marry. As soon as he walked in the door, my eyes widened a little because I definitely didn't expect such good-looking guy to share the nursery shift with me. I wanted to to strike up conversation, so my go-to question came out of my mouth, "So, are you from Louisville?" As soon as he said, "No, I'm actually from Ohio" and I responded, "ME TOO!" we began talking "like old friends that hadn't met yet" (as Jacob likes to say). The first thing that I noticed when I met Faith was her smile. The next thing was how well we both "clicked" in conversation. Faith's beauty starts with her soul and makes its way through the blueness of her eyes. The Lord tells us, "He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord." Proverbs 18:22. June 9th was the beginning of the journey that would lead to me marrying the most beautiful woman in the world. Exactly a month later, we went on our first date. Exactly 9 months after our first date, Jacob asked me to be his wife! We are beyond excited to celebrate the beginning of our marriage with you all and are thankful for the roles each one of you have played in helping us get here!
