We became friends in high school choir. I had a HUGE crush on Emmi for the longest time (since freshman year) even though I never thought I'd have a chance with her. An experience that really brought us together was our choir tour! We went to San Francisco and really bonded during that time. From there we became best friends. During the following Spring musical, Little Shop of Horrors, Emmi FINALLY expressed her feelings for me. When that happened, I think I said something like "I've decided we're dating now" and Emmi wholeheartedly agreed. :) -Jacob

Our most memorable trip was when we went camping near Crater Lake and in the Redwoods National Forest. Our road trip lasted about a week and was filled with so much fun and growth for us as a couple. We hiked almost every day and saw so much beautiful scenery everywhere we went. We even made time to stop to go caving on the last day and saw a frozen lake at the very bottom of a deep cave! But the absolute best part of the trip was Jacob deliriously driving us for most of the trip and singing "the trees and the rocks and the rocks and the trees" and singing about everything we saw on our drive. :) -Emmi
