We met due to a couple fateful "swipe rights" (and a SUPER like from Jacob no less!) and the rest is history. After spending our first date sipping cocktails and discussing books, TV, pets, musicals, and everything else under the sun we ended up going on two more dates over the next three days and talking non-stop in between. A quick and easy connection shortly grew to love and we've never looked back, all thanks to a dating app :)!
After Emily found a one-of-a-kind, antique engagement ring for sale and oh so subtly pointed it out to Jacob, he led her on a song-and-dance of "someone got to it before I could and I feel so bad!!" So a few days later as they were out running errands Emily didn't think anything was up when Jacob suggested going for a walk at a favorite park of theirs, and when he led her up to a beautiful overlook and kissed her she just thought "aw, this is nice!" It wasn't until she opened her eyes and saw him on one knee in front of her that she started to get wise to his plan -- although she did have to ask "wait.. is this real?!" as she wouldn't put it past him to start tying his shoes and laughing instead. But then she saw the one-of-a-kind ring and the look in his eyes, and heard him asking her to marry him. She said yes - of course! - and they walked hand in hand back to their car, both beaming and looking forward to calling their loved ones to share the happy news.
