The year was 2016, and Jake and Danae had both started new jobs at The Pint Room in Dublin, with Danae as a server and Jake as the new AGM. (Sittin' on) The Dock of the Bay plays on the Jukebox during a shift they were working together, and Danae decides to test Jake's musical knowledge by asking Jake who sang the song. It was something Danae liked to quiz people on often, but having the other person answer correctly did not happen nearly as often, which is why Jake giving Danae the right answer of Otis Redding so quickly threw Danae for a loop. This led to the two of them constantly quizzing each other during their shifts together, sparking a friendship that quickly grew to be much more. Staying true to their love of classic rock, the two had their first date at a Steve Miller Band concert a few months later. Throughout the years, they kept this theme going and have now seen over 15 concerts together in several different states. With their shared love of craft beer and traveling, they love taking trips to new cities and states and discovering new breweries, along with a dive bar or two. Along with so many similarities and shared interests, the two have found a best friend and other half in one another. Even though they both knew early on in their relationship that they would be together forever, they are so excited to be tying the knot and to celebrate with friends and family!
