It began the way most great love stories do — completely without fanfare. We first met at the cash register of Best Buy, both of us wearing matching blue polos, when Cate rang up Jacob's most prized purchases: a NOS Energy drink and a bag of beef jerky. A transaction as ordinary as they come. We exchanged the kind of pleasantries that coworkers do, and that was that. Neither of us thought twice about it.
