Our story first begins as your typical, sappy High School Love story. Jacob, the soccer-playing, Christ-loving, hard-working ball of energy and Brooke, the cheer-leading, dream-chasing... little sister, were set on paths that seemed so close, yet so far...... From my (Jacob's) perspective, this story begins in eighth grade when I met Brooke's older sister (yes...I said, "Older sister") at a Church Youth Group event. We became close, which eventually turned into a group of 13 tight-knit friends. We did everything together from hanging out in the halls from class to class, to attending football games, going to school dances, and ending our days at our Church's Youth Group. Meanwhile, I (Brooke) was busy cheering on my school at football games, basketball games, volleyball games, water polo games, wrestling matches and anything else you could think of in and out of the sun. But, if that didn't keep me busy enough, I would be playing piano and singing for hours. Although this was all amazing, I was still chasing after something more life-giving. With all of this going on we still couldn't help but feel like were missing something... or maybe someone? And now this is were OUR story begins... it was 2016, when Brooke first joined the friend group, which made it complete. Our friendship grew stronger and we shortly saw that our paths lined up perfectly. We could see the way God was laying the foundation for a relationship centered on Him. With a year of being friends and 6 months of getting to know more about each other, on April 7th, 2017, we finally started our relationship. The rest is history and the best is yet to come!!
