Jacob and Beverly met at Mavericks Dance Hall in Buda, TX, the very first weekend of 2024. It was loud, crowded, and full of energy after a long Christmas break. The night was typical for Beverly—until she caught the eye of someone new. Jacob had stumbled into the dance hall during a night out with friends. He was a first-timer in this place, unlike Beverly, who had made it part of her weekly weekend routine for nearly three years. Beverly spotted him across the dance floor holding up the railing, and on a whim (and a little courage), asked him to dance. Despite his two left feet, one Morgan Wallen song turned into two, two turned into hours, and somehow a simple dance became the start of something neither of them saw coming. The 2 a.m. parking lot kiss Beverly gave on the cheek and her bold "let me know if you ever need a passenger princess in that truck" really sealed the deal. Later that same day the pair went out for BBQ and talked for hours and hours until closing time. A few more hours after that were spent driving around country backroads with the windows down in the F-150 singing at the top of their lungs. The two became inseparable after that night, with Jacob driving close to 2 hours each evening for nine months just to see Beverly. What began as a playful “Do you want to dance?” turned their lives upside down for the better. They are now happy as can be living together in Kyle, TX with their 3 birds: Louise, Jane, and Pearl; along with 3 cats: Wesley, Walker, and Winston.
