FAQs

If you have any other questions other than what we've listed here, please reach out to Jacob and Tina at our official wedding email: jbrogers2026@gmail.com
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

To help us with our planning, please RSVP to the events as soon as possible. However, the deadline is April 17th, 2026. If we don't receive your RSVP by this date, we will expect that you are unable to attend. We need to provide the venue with a total guest count in a timely manner. Thank you for your understanding!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our dress code is black tie optional. Tuxedos and formal gowns are welcome, and a dark suit or floor length dress is equally appropriate. We kindly ask that guests avoid wearing red, as red is the traditional bridal color in Chinese culture and will be reserved for the bride. Thank you for helping us honor this tradition, we can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to limited space, we can only accommodate guests who are formally invited. If you've received a plus one, they will be specifically addressed on the invitation!

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

As much as we love little ones, our wedding is exclusively for adults.

Question

Is there anything we should keep in mind as guests?

Answer

We're so lucky to have friends and family from many backgrounds, identities, and communities joining us. We ask that everyone come ready to celebrate with kindness, openness, and respect for one another. Our favorite thing about our people is how wonderfully unique they are, and we can't wait for everyone to meet. Any behavior that is disrespectful toward others won't be tolerated.

Question

What transportation options are available to get to the venue?

Answer

The venue is a ~10 minute drive from downtown Milwaukee. Transportation options: (1) [Recommended] Taxi or rideshare from downtown. This trip typically costs $10-15. (2) A bus with limited seats will be available to pickup guests from the Hyatt Regency and Residence Inn Milwaukee Downtown prior to the ceremony. (3) Drive your own vehicle. There is no parking lot at the venue, but limited street parking will be available in the surrounding residential neighborhood. Please note in your intended transportation option in the RSVP to help us plan accordingly!

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We will allocate a moment for personal photos. Aside from that, we ask that you kindly put your phones and cameras away during the ceremony as we want you all to be present with us in the moment. We have a professional photographer and videographer capturing the ceremony for us. Other than the ceremony, yes! Please feel free to take as many photos and videos as you like.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! Select cocktails, beer, and wine will be served throughout the cocktail hour, dinner, and reception. We want you to have the best time, so the drinks are on us but the hangover is on you!

Question

Is the wedding outside?

Answer

Yes, as the sun will be shining (hopefully) both the ceremony and reception will be outside. Please make sure to dress appropriately and keep hydrated throughout the day.
