Things To Do
Bridal Veil Falls Trail
This a nice short hike with a few different waterfalls throughout the hike. This is where Jacob proposed to Ayla at the base of the main waterfall! There is a free shuttle in the town of Telluride called the Galloping Goose that can take you close to the trailhead where you will have a short walk to the start of the trail.
Bear Creek Trail
This is an easily accessible hike that has another beautiful waterfall at the end of it. This trail can be accessed directly from the town of Telluride and the trailhead starts at the end of South Pine Street.
San Miguel River Trail
This is a nice loop around the town of Telluride that follows the stream. This is an easier option for hiking and still provides great views of the surroundings!
Hope Lake Trail
This is our favorite hike we have done but does require some driving. It is ~40 minutes from the town of Telluride and the road to the trailhead is a bit rugged and would require a 4x4 or jeep type of vehicle.
Whitewater Rafting
Telluride Outside offers various activities but one of which being whitewater rafting. June is the perfect time with the snowmelt to go rafting and they offer class II - III+ during this time on the San Miguel River. They do pick up and drop off as well from your resort so no need to worry about transportation.
Telluride Via Ferrata
If you are a thrill seeker this is a unique opportunity to do some climbing. The link provides some recommended guides if you decide you are up to trying this!
Telluride Food and Wine Festival
Starting June 13th through the 15th Telluride will be hosting their food and wine festival. Tickets are required for this but if you're tired from travel and don't want to do a hike this may be a great option.
Golfing at Telluride Golf Club
The course is only available to guests staying at The Peaks Resort. It is not included and would still pay a fee for the round + green fees + cart.
