Me and Jake go waaay back. I remember it was 2017, we bonded over a simple conversation about basketball and have been tightly knit ever since. Jake’s been my homie since high school. But I can say that since encountering salvation, we’ve grown to become brothers, bound by a covenant in the Blood of The Lord Jesus Christ. Inseparable, if I do say so myself. I first met ashlei at a retreat for ENC, and from our very first encounter, she affectionately called me her sister, filling our conversations with laughter and joy as if we had known each other for years. Our friendship blossomed during her visits to Myrtle Beach, but it wasn’t until she moved back here that we really connected. From late-night airport pickups to helping each other with our hair, ashlei has embraced her role as my sister in every way, and I know she would go to war for me just as I would for her. What a blessing it is to have her in my life, and I am truly honored to stand by her side on her special day.

I met Ashlei through a virtual women’s bible study that she helped to lead. Our connection grew outside of the bible study with three of our other Sisters in Christ Nicole, Avie and Desrianna. The five of us began to check in on each other, pray together, and keep each other encouraged. After our trip from Myrtle Beach, SC to the ENC Conference in Orlando, FL, God radically encountered us in a special way. It was more than clear that God had brought us into each other’s lives to learn together, grow together, and cover each other in prayer and love. Since then, Ashlei has become the big sister that I can look up to as a true example of a virtuous woman of God. I have learned so much from her, witnessing her endurance, her patience and the strength she gleans from the Lord. She has grown so beautifully and I’m so so grateful that God saw fit to place us in each other’s lives. I’m honored to stand with her as a bridesmaid and truly beyond excited to shower her with love with all her friends and family on this special day. I love you Ashlei!! Jhustin Thompson I remember meeting Jake for the first time at our Friendsgiving this past year. My first impression was that he was a laid back and humble guy. We had the opportunity to chop it up with one another and I was able to really get to know him. I got to see his heart for the Lord and I got to see a Man of God that was always hungry for more, and since that moment he’s been like family. “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you” -Matthew 6:33 ESV This is the life scripture that me and my wife have built our marriage on. I remember meeting Jake for the first time in 2021. I met him through my roommate , we played basketball together the same day we met. We hooped at the downtown ymca in charlotte. For someone of his size at the time he can hoop fr. Months later Jake ended up moving to my spot before his apartment was ready. But our brotherhood took off when we had a terrible juco basketball practice but my roommates thought it was good, and me and jake came into my room and was like “what’s wrong with them?” So after that, our relationship it took off, we started talking about life and basketball, and we started working out together in the mornings before work. Picking each other up when each other needed it. We stayed in a hotel together for about 3 weeks before we had to move to our next crib that we had got together in 2022. I met Ash at Coastal not too long before the first ENC conference, where our lives changed forever ash has grown into an amazing woman of god spreading his word with relentless passion and joy with zero fear inside of her heart and since meeting Jacob I don’t think any person on earth could’ve chosen a better counterpart for her because Jacob is the exact same way a true warrior for the kingdom, truly a man after gods own heart and I feel honored to call both Ashlei and Jacob brother and sister. I met Ashlei through a facebook post believe it or not! I Didn’t even know we were friends on Facebook and I never seen her post but God had a plan to bring us together! I saw her post about denouncing her sorority and I had been asking God for a sign about that same sorority/greek life that I wanted to to be in & Ashlei was one of God’s mighty answers! So I sent her a long paragraph in her inbox about how I was growing in the Lord and how moved I was about her post and thankfully we’ve been sisters in Christ ever since then🥰! Ashlei is an amazing woman and a wonderful sister in Christ she motivated me a lot to truly concentrate my relationship with Jesus and showed me what true loving and intimate relationship looks like with the father! I couldn’t ask for a better sister in Christ ,that is truly intentional about her relationship with the Lord and im so grateful to have such a powerful Women Of God in my corner!
