Things To Do
Mount Royal
Climb Mount Royal (or take the bus up, from the metro!) and enjoy the peace of Montréal's beautiful central park. Then take a relaxing 3.5km long walk down the hill, through downtown and back to Old Montréal. Métro Mont-Royal (orange line)
Ma Poule Mouillée
Hands down the best Portuguese chicken sandwiches in the city. You'll have heard of La Banquise, a Montréal institution famous for poutine, just across the street. Métro Mont-Royal (orange line)
Jean Talon Market
Large indoor market, with plenty of food stalls or non-perishable treats to take home. Bring an appetite. Métro Jean-Talon (orange and blue lines)
Mile End
Enjoy Montreal's most stereotypical neighbourhood, which comes alive in the summer. Go bar-hopping, gaze at murals, or do as the local hipsters do and rent a Bixi -- just make sure to practice good bike-lane etiquette! Métro Laurier (orange line)
MONTRÉAL COMPLÈTEMENT CiRQUE
Montréal is known for it's world-class festival season in the summer, and during your visit the circus (festival) is in town. Stop by Place des Arts for a series of free shows and exhibits outdoors, and plenty of paid full-scale productions too. Métro Place-des-Arts (green line)
Cirque du Soleil Montreal Grand Chapiteau
Cirque du Soleil also has a big top at the Old Port and will be putting on a production of it's show KURIOS. Métro Champs-de-Mars (orange line)

Our favourite Italian restaurant, and conveniently situated in our neighbourhood of Verdun to boot! Reservations recommended. Métro de l'Église (green line)
Parc Jean-Drapeau
Take the 5-minute ferry from the Old Port (the quai right in front of the hotel and Place Jacques-Cartier) to this park, a nice haven on the islands and with a great view of downtown. Métro Jean-Drapeau (yellow line)
