In 2021, Anna and Jake met the “Old Fashioned” way... well, almost. Online dating brought the two together, and within six months, Jake, practical as ever, said, “Well, Anna, it’s going to work, or it’s not... we’re getting older. Let’s move in together.” So they, along with Anna's cat, Monica, moved into a cozy condo by Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis. On Christmas Day 2023, Jake took Anna’s brother aside, asking not only for his blessing but for his help in planning to ask Arnie and Sue Zachman for Anna’s hand. In late April 2024, Anna and Jake took a trip to San Diego. Despite some severe sunburn on day two, Jake didn't get cold feet but definitely got cold sweats. On day three, covered in aloe vera, Jake knew the moment had come. With the approval of both Anna and Jake’s parents, after hiking a few miles at Torrey Pines, he got down on one knee — and the rest is history By July 2024, as if wedding planning wasn’t enough, Anna and Jake, with help from Anna’s dad Arnie, embarked on building a home together in White Bear Lake, MN. In December 2024, they’ll turn the key to their new home and begin yet another chapter. Our love story feels like fate, and we’re beyond grateful to share this journey with all of you. We can’t wait to celebrate with our friends and family as we begin our marriage surrounded by the people who mean the most to us.
