Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

Look out for paper AND email invitations (we'll send both if we have both addresses) towards the end of summer 2022. The paper invitations will include instructions for how to RSVP online by submitting a form on this wedding website (y'know, less tree death). All RSVPs are due September 1st 2022. If by the end of August you didn't get an invitation but we mentioned you were invited or you really, really thought you were, REACH OUT AND ASK ABOUT IT - we live in terror of someone's data falling through the cracks.

Can I bring my boyfriend/girlfriend/spouse/kids/friend/emotional support parakeet?

Answer

Yes. If we know who your kids or significant others are, we'll name them on the invitation or send them their own. If you're single, you get to bring a plus one - just be sure to name them on the RSVP so we can get an accurate count. the more the merrier!

Will there be officially designated child minders or activities for kids?

Answer

Alas, no. The logistics, background checking, and everything that would need to go into that responsibly are not practical for us to arrange. Your kids are absolutely welcome, but we're going to need you to supervise them or, if you'd like to have just-you night of fun, find child care.

What if I don't want to drive to and from the venue?

Answer

The Starlight charter bus will be providing ONE round trip to and from the wedding. The bus TO the wedding leaves from the Landing Hotel at River's Casino at 3PM. The bus BACK to the hotel from the wedding venue leaves promptly at 10PM. Please only RSVP to this if you don't have other transport, or don't trust yourself to drive, as there are only 56 seats on the bus. To RSVP, Go to our RSVP page on the website, put in your details, then click "next event" in the bottom right corner to access the bus RSVP page. If you have trouble, email the bride at adelemarycosta@gmail.com. If the bus is full but you still don't want to drive, we recommend Uber, Lyft, carpooling with a designated driver, or taking advantage of one of the car service companies we have listed on our Travel page. PLEASE don't drink and drive. <3

Where should we stay if we want to stay overnight?

Answer

The wedding party will be staying at the Landing Hotel within the River's Casino & Resort in Schenectady. You are of course welcome to book a room there as well - just don't say you'd like one in the "room block" for the wedding unless you're in the wedding party. Outside of Rivers, there are a ton of nice chain hotels near and around there - we've listed a few on our Travel Page.

What time does everything start and end?

Answer

The ceremony will start at 4PM on Sunday, October 9th. The Sablewood will kick us off the dance floor at around 10PM that night. It's all in the same place.

What are you doing about COVID?

Answer

Hopefully COVID will be at a nice dull roar on the wedding day, but if it rears its ugly head again, we'll follow all state-mandated and venue-mandated guidelines. Basically, put a mask in your pocket or clutch purse, but don't worry too much beyond that.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cocktail or formal attire preferred. (But y'know, be comfortable).

Do I need to bring a gift/where are you registered?

Answer
