In 2014, Jacob and I first met at a church picnic thanks to a mutual friend. Since we were so young, I never would have thought how successful and in love we would be. However, through church youth group, birthday parties, get-togethers and Orbit nights, we eventually got to know one another. Even though Jacob was not the typical churchgoer, I knew he was my person the moment he showed up to my church every Sunday with his family just to spend time with me. Every weekend that was available, we spent together. We spent many late nights at parks in the area, went skating every Friday or Saturday night with our respective group of friends, and texted or talked on the phone whenever we weren't together. We were bonded before long. Jacob asked me to be his girlfriend on February 1, 2017 and since then, we have developed as a couple, patience, experienced extreme highs and lows, and daily grown closer. I would not change a thing after being in a relationship with Jacob for seven years and knowing him for ten. I am overjoyed to be able to officially call him my husband this September.

I knew Jacob was proposing because he's not the best at keeping secrets, however I did not know when. When my closest friend Haley arrived to do my makeup, it dawned on me that I was getting engaged. After taking me to a fancy dinner, he made me wear a blindfold to make it impossible for me to see where we were going. When we finally arrived at our destination, he removed the blindfold and led me inside to see a stunning room with a bed covered in roses and a proposal ring that was the most exquisite thing I had ever seen. Naturally, I said yes and the rest is history. IMPORTANT INFORMATION! Following the ceremony, the reception will also be at Avante.
